Today we launched version 4.3.2 of Getloaded, which included a few updates to the Dual-Leg search tool.
The first is the addition of texting to Dual-Leg search results – now if you are on the road and a rep is performing a Dual-Leg search for you, both the load for the first leg and any (or all) of the second leg loads can be sent to your phone.
The other update is a response to user comments regarding Dual-Leg search results. We display all of the Dual-Leg matches in the search results, so as not to limit your ability to find loads. However, sometimes the listed pickup date for the first leg load comes after the listed pickup date for the second leg load, and it was often difficult to identify those loads that had a mis-matched date.
Now when you conduct a Dual-Leg search all second legs that have a pickup date before the first leg will be grayed out. You will still be able to view the details of those second leg by clicking on the contact number, but it will be easy to identify the mis-matched date loads at a glance.
We have more improvements to Dual-Leg search coming, but let us know what you think of these changes (or any other changes you’d like to see).
There is a lot of talk lately about the iPhone. This is understandable as while it is a sleek, cool phone, it also opens up a new frontier for developers and users. While you can’t seem to go anywhere without seeing someone on their iPhone, I’m curious to hear how many iPhones have made it into the cabs of trucking pros. How many of you use them? Do you find them a worthy tool to help you in your jobs/life as a driver? If so, how do you use them?
If you don’t currently utilize our mobile site now is the time to start. In a few days we are going to ’sneak’ out a revamped version. Make sure to keep an eye on:

Today we will be launching an ‘internal’ feature which will allow us to text load data to your cell phones. It will be used internally by us at first so we can play with it a bit. If you happen to call in later today or in the near future, once you find a load, ask the person helping to ‘text’ it to you so you can ‘Get Texted’.
If so, beginning next Wednesday, we’ll take care of it for you.
The latest release of Getloaded (4.0.3) will come out next Wednesday afternoon and include a feature where we will take your load search and perform a truck search with the same criteria to give you an idea of the competition in the area.

What do you think?
Google recently released ‘Lively’ which gives you 3D rooms to build and interact with. Click on the Virtual Lab link at the top and if I’m there, come on in and chat.
We’ve been experimenting with an im ‘bot’ named Anita Load. Basically, you can add her to your im buddy list and ask her to find loads for you. She’s a bit finicky right now and is known to go offline if you don’t speak to her properly so I’m not ready to introduce her to the public but if anyone wants to try it out, shoot me your email and I’ll send you the details.
Recently, we’ve received a few requests to provide a better interface for iPhone users. We’ve heard your suggestions and are diligently working on an iPhone prototype. Keep an eye on the labs site over the next few weeks so you can be the first to try the beta when it ‘hits the streets’ on an iPhone near you!
Other than having pay amounts and removing loads when they are taken, give me ONE killer feature you would like to see within Getloaded. Try to boil it down to one sentence.
The best one gets a GL t-shirt!
We will be adding two new features to our searching and posting pages to help type city names. The first will simply show a list of cities which match what you are typing so you can quickly pick the one you want and move on. The second feature will suggest city names in case the one you type is not found. Look for these soon!

It is my pleasure to introduce everyone to the latest technology developed by Getloaded.com - the Getloaded Remote Control(tm). This is an innovative new product that is sure to revolutionize the freight industry.
Please take a moment and familiarize yourself with this new product:

We are looking for a few volunteers to beta test a trucking software package. Masslogics is allowing a few of our members access to their system to take it for a spin. This is a live system so you will be able to put in your live company data and try it out. We are asking that participants meet the following requirements:
- asset based carrier, 2-10 trucks
- one dedicated office person to use the software
We would also like for you to have the time to jump in and test out the system as soon as possible. Please remember this is not a Getloaded product. We are just looking for new tools for our members so would like your thoughts on this package offering as well as other packages in the future.
You can click here for an Info Sheet.
Any takers?

We just finished up the second day of MATS and it’s been great. We’ve been very busy and met many of you in the GL family. I can truly say that our members are the best in the world. It has been great to see people finding loads right there in our booth! It’s also been nice to hear what you like and hear your thoughts on what we need to change or add next. I’ll post some pictures and video in the next few days in case you missed the show.
If you are planning to attend on Saturday, come on by our booth and say Hi! I’ll try to save you a t-shirt.
I apologize that my mug is messing up the picture of the new International Lonestar but it’s the only one I had from the show so far. I promise my face won’t mess up the other pictures I post.

We are looking for our next GL Star. Want to let us ride along with you by letting us know where you are and what you’re doing?
Send me an email and tell me a bit about yourself and your schedule for the next few weeks.
